~1,700-cap room on East Riverside since 2011, on the site of the Back Room, Austin's old metal hub. Emo's goes back to Houston punk (1989) and came to Austin in 1992 — punk, indie and metal, plus more rap and electronic these days. Most shows are all-ages (ages 3+ need a ticket). No re-entry; bags up to 12×6×12 in., no backpacks. Heads up: Emo's plays its last show at this address in December 2026 — AEG Presents takes over and renames the room in 2027, and C3 plans to move Emo's back downtown.
